Practice Areas

Jennifer practices in all aspects of family law with a focus on partnering with clients to continually enhance services. Jennifer joined KRMC in 2014, bringing with her significant litigation experience before the various levels of court in Ontario.

Early in her legal career, Jennifer has had the opportunity to conduct hearings for both appeal matters and trials. Jennifer has assisted clients in all stages of the family court process. Her hands-on experience has provided her with the knowledge and ability to guide her clients through the court process.

Jennifer also helps advocate for clients outside of court, using the various methods of alternative dispute resolution including the collaborative family law process. Many clients appreciate collaborative family law because they can customize the process based on what is important to their particular family. She has assisted clients with mediation, negotiation, and the drafting of domestic contracts (cohabitation agreements, marriage contracts, and separation agreements) when their current arrangements are not comprehensive enough for their needs.

Jennifer first developed an interest in family law during her second and third year of law school when she secured a position at the Family Law Information Centre. Here, she assisted senior counsel and gained broad exposure to the various contexts in which family matters arise, including those involving domestic violence concerns.
