Joseph Ma

Joseph is an associate in the firm’s Creditors’ Rights department, where he primarily represents major financial institutions in all aspects of debt recovery and banking litigation matters. His practice encompasses providing opinions on collectability, initiating legal proceedings, securing judgments, filing writs of seizure and sale, executing garnishments, conducting examinations in aid of execution, and advising clients on the implications of privacy and consumer protection statutes and regulations.

Before joining KRMC in 2025, Joseph articled at a boutique commercial litigation firm in downtown Toronto and practiced commercial litigation and bankruptcy at a full-service firm following his call to the bar in 2024.

He holds a Juris Doctor degree from Western Law and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Kinesiology from Western University.

Joseph is fluent in Korean. In his leisure time, he enjoys running half-marathons and playing tennis.
