Evan L. Cappe

Evan’s practice is focused on civil litigation with an emphasis on banking litigation and fraud-related matters.  Evan regularly represents clients concerning lender liability, tracing claims, employee theft/defalcation, altered/counterfeit bills of exchange, mortgage fraud, credit card fraud, advance-fee loan fraud, telemarketing fraud, and construction lien matters.  Evan also has experience in dealing with professional negligence, commercial contract disputes, and collection matters.  He has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario. 

In 2005, while in his final year of law school, Evan worked as a legal researcher in connection with the appeal of the notable constitutional case Wynberg v. Ontario.  Evan articled with KRMC from 2006 to 2007, and joined the firm as a lawyer upon his call to the Bar in June 2007.

Evan was a member of the firm’s Articling Committee in 2007, 2009, and 2010.
