Asset Investigating Skip Tracer- Collections Department- Full-time position

Acting for a number of well-known clients including financial institutions, leasing companies, multinational corporations, and owner-operated businesses, KRMC is a collaborative firm which offers a collegial work environment. We are currently seeking an Asset Investigating Skip Tracer to play an important role in our collections department by performing skip tracing functions and investigating assets, while accurately documenting all related activities to our firm and client systems. The successful candidate will be an excellent investigator and communicator, be highly organized and detail oriented and overall, be a valuable member of our collections team.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Thoroughly tracing and investigating files and compiling relevant information following prescribed guidelines (re. type/geographical location of file)
  • Reviewing files for any/all avenues of collectability
  • Updating firm and client systems accurately
  • Managing requests and follow-ups from lawyers, collections officers and other members of the firm in a timely and efficient manner
  • Requesting documents from client and other sources
  • Handling large volumes of documentation in an organized fashion
  • Performing administrative tasks and clerical duties as needed
  • Other related projects and duties, as assigned


  • 1-2 years of related experience preferred
  • Experience working in collections for financial institutions an asset
  • Skilled at using the internet and other tools for research and investigative purposes
  • Deadline and performance driven
  • Detail-oriented, efficient and accurate with strong mathematical capabilities
  • Proficient computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office
  • Experience using third party bank database systems an asset
  • Superior oral and written communication skills

A satisfactory criminal records check will be required from the selected candidate as a condition of employment.
